Mapping Ruth Shackelford's Diaries

An exploration of the Shackelford family's journeys by covered wagon in 1865 from Missouri to California, and in 1868 back to California. Their routes are mapped from entries in Ruth Shackelford's diaries as published in Covered Wagon Women volume 9, but deep mapping is used to add depth to their journey with inclusion of the people and places the Shackelfords encountered.

Historical Geographic Analysis of Vostitsa Greece

Vostitsa is the former name for the town of Aigio and for the surrounding region in the north-central Peloponnese of Greece. Through geographic analysis of historic records from 1463 - end of Byzantine and beginning of Ottoman period; 1700 - midpoint of Venetian period; and 1910s - first modern population and agricultural censuses, patterns of stability and change through time in the region emerge.
