About The Helonaki

Helonaki is Greek for little turtle and also the name of a small island in the Bay of Navarino near Pylos, Greece.

The Helonaki is Jen Glaubius, a woman who loves maps, history, archaeology, and turtles. After spending many, many years in graduate schools learning about archaeology, geography, computer mapping, databases, and computer modeling in Python, Jen left academia and taught herself web development and mapping using html, css, javascript, and React. Now Jen, as The Helonaki, provides mapping, research support, and web development for historical and archaeological projects.
